Abstract

Digital Humanism to the Rescue!

In his lecture, Peter Knees presents the latest results and developments in Music Recommender Systems. From this, he discusses some of today’s challenges for academic research arising from operating in data-intensive real-world scenarios dominated by commercial platforms. In response to these challenges, he delineates interdisciplinary strategies for epistemic progress and contextualizes them within Digital Humanism principles. Digital Humanism also serves as the framework for highlighting further research topics he currently investigates.
