Caroline Wörgötter joined the Austrian Foreign Ministry as a career diplomat in 2009. Currently she holds the position as Head of Unit, Biological and Chemical Weapons, Conventional Weapons and Disarmament-Related Aspects of New Technologies as well as Deputy Head of the Austrian Embassy for the Principality of Liechtenstein based in Vienna. Earlier postings included the position as a disarmament expert at the Permanent Mission of Austria to the United Nations in Geneva. Previously, Caroline worked inter alia as a media development officer at the OSCE Presence in Tirana/Albania and as a researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) in Vienna. Caroline holds a PhD in Political Sciences from the University of Vienna.
