Dr. Elisabeth Hoffberger-Pippan is a Senior Researcher at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) dealing with emerging technologies and international law, artificial intelligence, and military robotics. Prior to joining PRIF, she was head of the International Panel on the Regulation of Autonomous Weapons, a project funded by the German Foreign Office. Simultaneously she was also an Associate at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs in the International Security Division. She obtained her PhD on ‘Less-Lethal Weapons under International Law’ from the University of Linz, which was published by Cambridge University Press.
