Rostam J. Neuwirth is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of University of Macau. He also serves as the Acting Coordinator of the International Business Law Program, where he teaches several law related courses to international business law to postgraduate students. He received his PhD degree from the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence (Italy) and also holds a Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) from the Faculty of Law of McGill University in Montreal (Canada). He is the author of the book entitled “The Cultural Industries in International Trade: Insights from the NAFTA, the WTO and the EU” and has published numerous articles related to the creative economy and the ‘culture and trade’ link as well as other areas of law. His articles were published in journals in the United States, in Europe, in India, China and Japan. In addition to international economic law, European Law, and comparative law, his core area of interests and research projects also include the ‘global governance debate’, comparative law, cultural diversity, intellectual property rights, legal theory and the relation between ‘law and cognition’.
