Talks
Frequentis ATM Solutions: Evolution and AI Integration
The upcoming presentation will offer an overview of the Air Traffic Management solutions developed by FREQUENTIS. It will highlight the core functionalities and objectives of these products, setting the stage for a deeper discussion on potential integration points with artificial intelligence. The session aims to help discover where AI can add value within the current portfolio, encouraging a collaborative exchange of ideas on innovative applications and future possibilities.
From Algorithm to Production Plan: Bridging Theory and Practice
MCP Algorithm Factory develops software solutions for industrial production planning, covering the full spectrum from supply and demand planning to detailed scheduling and workforce management. We act as an implementation partner for platforms such as Sunstice and Siemens Opcenter, while also building our own products, including MCP Workforce Management and a suite of AI-based optimization algorithms.
Our work spans a wide range of industries, from food and beverage to electronics. Much of our work is informed by a close collaboration with TU Wien, through which we have developed strong expertise in advanced optimization methods. This talk will give a concise overview of how these techniques are applied in practice, with a particular focus on the role of AI within our systems and how it complements classical optimization approaches in solving complex real-world planning problems.
Speakers
Djamel Sahnine
Djamel Sahnine was born in France and pursued studies in Electronic and Computer Science, ultimately earning his Ingénieur degree (equivalent to an MSc or DI in Austria). His professional journey began across various industries, including manufacturing, energy, and elecommunications. Eventually, he relocated to Austria to join Frequentis, focusing on air traffic management solutions. Over the years, he has contributed to a range of projects, collaborating with prestigious airports and participating in European research initiatives such as the SESAR program. As the company has grown, Djamel has taken on the role of Portfolio Architect, shaping the direction of Frequentis’ expanding portfolio.
Michael Bernreiter
Michael Bernreiter has been with MCP Algorithm Factory since January 2025, where he works on AI-as-a-Service in the context of production planning. Prior to this, he completed a PhD at TU Wien under the supervision of Stefan Woltran, focusing on symbolic AI.
