Abstract
On October 26, 2026, OpenAI announced that one of its AI models has disproven the Exponential Time Hypothesis (ETH). This talk is based on the resulting preprint, “The Exponential Time Hypothesis is False”.
Matthias Lanzinger (DBAI, TU Wien) will present an algorithm that solves 3-SAT and related hard combinatorial problems in subexponential time, thereby refuting the long-standing Exponential Time Hypothesis.
