As part of the “Quantum Austria” funding initiative, a hybrid system is now being set up that will combine classical high-performance computers and quantum computers. Led and coordinated by the University of Innsbruck, the interdisciplinary project brings together physicists and computer scientists from TU Wien as well as researchers from Johannes Kepler University Linz and several companies with relevant expertise.

CAIML Board Member Ivona Brandic explains how this system will work in a news article of TU Wien (in German), where you can also find further details regarding the project.
