iCAIML Industry Seminar: AI Integration with Industry Partners Frequentis and MCP
On June 3, 2026, the iCAIML Seminar featured expert presentations by iCAIML industry partners Frequentis and MCP on deploying artificial intelligence within air traffic management solutions and industrial production planning systems.
On June 3, 2026, the iCAIML Doctoral College hosted a seminar at TU Wien to highlight ongoing industry collaborations. The event focused on the translation of academic research into practical deployment for Artificial Intelligence (AI) alongside strategic industry partners.
The event featured technical presentations emphasizing joint academic-industrial efforts:
Djamel Sahnine representing iCAIML industry partner Frequentis presented “Frequentis ATM Solutions: Evolution and AI Integration.” The talk analyzed the core functionalities of current Air Traffic Management (ATM) solutions to identify optimal insertion points for joint AI initiatives. Establishing reliable integration architectures for AI in safety-critical infrastructure remains an open challenge requiring close academic-industrial cooperation.
Michael Bernreiter from iCAIML industry partner MCP Algorithm Factory presented “From Algorithm to Production Plan: Bridging Theory and Practice.” The presentation detailed the deployment of AI-as-a-Service for industrial production planning. The talk emphasized how modern AI-based optimization algorithms apply to real-world scheduling problems, demonstrating the direct value of transferring theoretical research to industry applications.
