About the Workshop

This interactive workshop explores how Digital Humanism can serve as an active driver of innovation, not just a framework for analyzing its impact.

  • Part 1: Innovating Business Models introduces visual tools and techniques for designing, understanding, and testing innovative business models, enriched with inspiring examples.

  • Part 2: Assessing Digital Humanism poses a critical question: beyond economic strength, how human is a business model? Participants engage with a set of Digital Humanism Assessment questions, derived from the DigHum principles addressing the interplay of people, technology, and society through real-world applications.

  • Part 3: Tooling Digital Humanism Aspirations shifts from assessment to design. Drawing on principles for developing Visual Inquiry Tools, participants co-create The DigHum Map, a visual tool to define aspirations for how technology can empower people, enable their contribution to society, and benefit society as a whole.

The workshop combines concise conceptual inputs, visual tools, hands-on exercises, and collaborative design to move from innovation to assessment to aspiration.

The workshop is on invitation only, limited to 25 persons. It is hosted by the Verein zur Förderung des Digitalen Humanismus, in cooperation with the Digital Humanism Initiative, TU Wien, and CAIML (Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), TU Wien.

Program design by Yves Pigneur and Hannes Werthner.
